Knoxy brings security for Sello’s cycling customers
In the fall of 2024, shopping center Sello implemented the new Knoxy storage service to offer its customers an even safer and more practical alternative for bicycle storage. Riikka Tuomainen, shopping center manager of Sello located in Leppävaara, Espoo, explains that the implementation of Knoxy has been successful, and the service has met customer needs.

The Knoxy bicycle cabinet, designed to match Sello’s brand identity, has been placed along a central passageway where it is easily accessible and clearly integrated into the service offering. Sello sees a large number of daily visitors due to both the shopping center’s diverse range of services and excellent transport connections. “Initial statistics show that customers have responded well to the service, and we expect even higher usage rates during the spring and summer seasons,” Tuomainen continues.
A step towards safer urban cycling
At Sello, it is believed that solutions like Knoxy can promote cycling and sustainable urban mobility. Tuomainen hopes that other shopping centers will begin to offer similar services in the future. “When secure bicycle storage is more widely available, it encourages customers to choose bicycles more frequently,” Tuomainen states.
The collaboration with Knoxy has been flexible, and any maintenance needs have been addressed quickly. Future development possibilities, such as charging options for electric bicycles, are also generating interest among the Sello team. “We are satisfied with how the Knoxy implementation has proceeded. Investing in secure bicycle storage is another step towards more efficient and safer urban cycling,” Tuomainen concludes.
